Not really sure why anyone would use this. But it proves it can be done, yes?
Why not: the md5 code isn’t the smallest of libraries to download just for pretty mail icons. You’re also going to be sending the full email address in the page content, to some, that would bother them. (anti-spam). And not to mention if you did this server side, you wouldn’t require client side code at all, and it’d save bandwidth for everybody. Oh well :)
